I don't think people peruse the interstate for nice looking cars to steal. Though there is "car jacking", but I avoid those neighborhoods with the Z. I think it might be easy for a criminal to peruse internet forums for a car they like, jot down the plate, do a little research and get the cars registered address. It's also something I started doing because I'd seen it done, so mostly, monkey see monkey do, and habit.
